‘Kesha’ is a song that depicts a club scene or party scene, where Mbithi details the revelers are well dressed in the latest clothes and the ladies are paying attention to those adorned in the latest fashion. There is plenty of meat and drinks and the busy atmosphere leads to some waiters mistakingly serving warm beer having forgotten that they were sent for cold ones.
In line with tradition, there is an after party at a claustrophobic space to the point of revelers taking off their shirts amongst other party frenzies. There are local and international drinks, the bathroom having been temporarily turned into a smoking zone. However, Mbithi warns that the paparazzi are lurking around taking some controversial pictures.
This is part of an all night ritual especially during party night outs, and as bats transnight, so do we, the revelers.
