The Faulkner Review writes, ”Songs For New York Lovers is another superb album from the prolific Steven Blane. It maintains the very high bar set by his last one, The Met, and is arguably even better. There is not one dud moment amongst the thirteen tracks and Blane consolidates his position as a master of his chosen style. Backed by a cohort of gifted musicians who match his skills, the result is a joy from start to finish. Music connoisseurs worldwide should discover the songs of Steven Blane.”
Of his album, entitled “Boulevard of Broken Dreams," one reviewer said, “Boulevard features killer vocals and lyrics, very meaningful storylines, and beautiful tracks with strong and emotional delivery.”
Of Blane’s album “So New York,” Seattle PI wrote, "So New York is grand! The album is full of vintage jazz/pop aromas giving off tantalizing wisps of elusive familiarity similar to the heady music of the '40s and '50s. Steven Blane's voice is deliciously deluxe, full of lush tones."
Steven performs frequently at Shrine and Silvana in Harlem, NYC. He is also a Rabbi and Cantor and leads High Holiday Services at The Bitter End in NYC.
